![]() ![]() I'm def more into management than just building. I was worried about wasting money on planet coaster for this exact reason. THANK YOU!! I been scouring the internet for this. He is best known for creating Transport Tycoon, which has been considered 'one of the most important simulation games ever made', and the bestseller RollerCoaster Tycoon series. Everything from the character models to the background scenery, and the structures have all seen a great boost in fidelity and presentation. It still features a fully-interactive map in a top-down view, with the most notable change being graphics. Overall, coming from RCT3, this game has my recommendation. Christopher Sawyer is a Scottish video game designer and programmer. Planet Coaster takes cues from Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum, made by the same developer. Planet coaster has the best coaster designign and park decor of all released games in the genre, but the management part is inferior. RCT 3 brought in tonnes of new rides and coasters but had relatively weak park management. If you're mainly into managing your park (like in a tycoon game), this may not be for you. RCT 1 and 2 combined both sublimely, still the best -combination- of park management and coaster designing in the genre. Plus the game is being updated with new content and features over time.īasically, if you're into building your park, get it. yet) but it isn't too bad as Muss mentioned above. ![]() Also, there isn't as much ride variety as RCT3 (no pools, water rides, or animal exhibits. The management is fairly simple and easy to figure out not much different than RCT3, imo. It does focus a lot more on building things and decorating your park. Frontier had previously worked in the amusement park construction and management genre with RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 (to which Planet Coaster is a spiritual successor ), Thrillville, Thrillville: Off the Rails, and Zoo Tycoon. Each game in the series challenges players with open-ended amusement park management and development, and allowing players to construct and customize their own unique roller coasters and other thrill rides. ![]() Originally posted by SirJC17:I used to have RCT3 and played it a lot as well (CD got scratched so I wasn't able to play anymore.) Planet Coaster has been an amazing, up-to-date theme park building game for me! RollerCoaster Tycoon is a series of construction and management simulation games about building and managing an amusement park. ![]()
